FIFA Soccer 2002 Cheats

Cheat Codes: Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the “soccer.ini” file in the “game folder. Add one of the following lines to the file to activate the corresponding cheat:

Cheats: Access the following cheat options at the rewards screen that must be unlocked during game play.

CHEAT OPTION – HOW TO UNLOCK Big Melon – Win the European Champions’ Cup. This cheat gives all players big heads. Crazy Ball – Win the EFA Trophy. The ball can move in a crazy path when it is passed. Stay N Play – Win the European Championships. The ball will always rebound from the touchline. They All Fall Down – Win the Copa America. Your players will all fall down if the ball remains in possession for too long. Eye Catcher – Win the Gold Cup. The ball will be giant sized. Small Pitch – Win a league and score more than 200 goals. Scrimmage – Win the Champion’s League (ECC) and whatever League Title (i.e. Premeireship) under professional mode. All the lads are gone out for a pint and only five players remain. Its indoor footie at its finest. There are also no bookings. From Outside – Win the Champion’s League (ECC) and whatever League Title (i.e. Premeireship) under professional mode. From outside the 18 yard box, if you put the ball in the onion bag, the goal is worth two.

Bonus tournaments: Win the following World Cup qualifications to unlock the corresponding bonus tournaments:

TOURNAMENT – CUP AFC – Asians Nations Cup CONCEBOL – Gold Cup CONCACAF – Copa America UEFA – European Championships (Euro 2004)

Complete all rewards except the last locked one to unlock the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Panini cards: Win the following events to unlock the corresponding Panini cards at the rewards screen:

Easy win: If you are losing a game in world class mode, pause game play. Choose “Side Select” from the options menu, then move your controller under our opponent’s name. Then, score your own goals as that team.

Farther goal kicks: When you are taking a goal kick, hold Pass until the ball gets all the way up, then release. Note: This only works for goal kicks.

Longshot: Use the following trick to perform a 45 meter shot, just like the world-class CPU players. Stand about 2 meters from the center’s circle (center of the field), then perform a kick as follows. Hold Z or C with D to make the ball curl. Hold the keys until the power bar resembles “||||||||||||||” (looks full, but not maximum). If it is maxed, the ball will go very high. If done correctly, you will notice the power bar is like this after you release the keys: “IIIIIIIIIIIIII”, not bold like the maxed power-bar. If you find this difficult to do, just lessen the power-up speed in the options screen. You can also perform this even while you are running.
