Story and setting
Hanna’s brother, Herman, disappears in the fictional city of Eriksholm, and the police quickly begin pursuing him. Hanna’s search draws her into a wider conflict involving revolution, resistance and an oppressive government, with the fate of the city becoming tied to the mystery surrounding Herman.
Eriksholm is a Nordic-inspired city shaped by the elegance, industry and hardship of early twentieth-century Scandinavia. The story moves through its streets, industrial areas and underground spaces, following Hanna and her allies as they uncover the truth. The three playable characters are Hanna, Alva and Sebastian.
How it plays
This is a top-down 3D stealth game presented from an isometric-style viewpoint. You can adjust the camera to survey an area, watch guard behaviour and plan a route before moving. Hiding places, cover, environmental clues and guard conversations all help you judge when it is safe to advance.
The three characters have different abilities, tools and ways of interacting with the environment. Switching between them is central to solving puzzles, reaching new areas and dealing with obstacles. Diversions and careful timing are more important than direct confrontation, and the game is built around finding practical solutions to fixed, puzzle-like stealth situations rather than fighting through open combat encounters.
Trailers and showcases
The reveal at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase on 8 June 2024 introduced Hanna, the city of Eriksholm and the game’s top-down stealth format. It showed the early-twentieth-century Nordic setting, the search for Herman and the use of camera positioning, character abilities and environmental opportunities to avoid detection.
A gameplay and story trailer shown during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted on 5 December 2024 introduced the wider trio of Hanna, Alva and Sebastian, alongside more footage of character switching, stealth, puzzles and cinematic scenes. At the Future Games Show Summer Showcase on 7 June 2025, a developer presentation and date-reveal trailer showed a fuller look at the game’s tactical encounters and confirmed the 15 July 2025 release for PC and current-generation consoles. The launch trailer on 15 July covered the story premise and stealth gameplay. Nintendo’s Partner Spotlight Sizzle Reel, shown during the Nintendo Direct on 9 September 2026, confirmed the Switch 2 version for 3 December and showed support for touchscreen input and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
Platforms, editions and UK price
The Switch 2 version is confirmed as a digital Nintendo eShop release. No physical Switch 2 edition, special edition or UK retailer listing has been announced. The exact UK eShop price and pre-order date are also still to be confirmed.
The existing UK digital versions are listed at £32.99 on PlayStation 5 and £33.50 on Xbox Series X/S. The PC version is available through Steam and Epic Games Store, with the Steam UK list price currently £33.50. These prices should not be treated as the Switch 2 RRP until Nordcurrent Labs or Nintendo confirms it.
What remains unconfirmed
Nordcurrent Labs has not announced a UK launch time in BST or GMT, a physical Switch 2 release, Switch 2 resolution or performance targets, or whether the port has any visual enhancements beyond its new control options. There is also no confirmed Switch 2 demo, upgrade offer or bundle.
The game is not listed as a full Xbox Game Pass release. On PlayStation 5, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can access a one-hour game trial, but the full game is not listed as part of the standard Game Catalogue. With the Switch 2 price still unknown, waiting for the eShop listing is the sensible option for UK buyers rather than pre-ordering unseen.
