Black & White is a role-playing game unlike any other you’ve played before. You play the role of a deity in a land where the surroundings are yours to shape and its people are yours to lord over.
- Convert local tribes to worship you – Many native tribes–Aztecs, Celts, and Egyptians, just to name a few–inhabit the world of Eden. Convince them to worship you and they will generate the life force required to sustain your existence. The more worshippers you have, the more powerful you become and the more energy you have at your disposal to perform miracles.
- Perform a variety of powerful miracles – Convince non-believers of your supremacy and lay waste to the land with destructive tornados. Send bolts of lightening raining down on your enemies or conjure up an army of skeletons to do your bidding. Show your benevolence and rain food from the heavens for your people. Use your powers to heal sick and injured villagers or keep them from harm with a protective shield.
- The world is what you make it – The land of Eden itself will reflect the type of god that you become and the moral decisions you make in the game. Play as a benign, loving god, nurturing and caring for your worshippers, and the land will flourish and take on the semblance of a fairy tale kingdom. Become an evil, callous god ruling your tribes through the wanton use of fear-evoking, destructive spells and the game world will become a barren, blighted hell, scarred with volcanic fissures and withered foliage.
- Raise a Titan in your image – Choose a creature of the land to act as your representative in Eden. As you grow in power, your Titan will grow in physical size until it literally towers over your villagers and the countryside. And just as the landscape changes to reflect your moral decisions, your Titan will reflect its upbringing. Treat your creature well, and it will be a proud, gallant beast beloved by your villagers. Treat it cruelly, and it will become a terrifying monster of mass-destruction, devouring helpless villagers at will.
