A battle of ungodly proportions has raged across galaxies for as long as can be remembered. While the origin of the conflict has been long forgotten, the indomitable Might of Columbiad army has been steadily gaining ground against the Carpacian League. The epic conflict peaked in a battle over the home planet of the League, leaving the once lush and fertile world a dying mass of irradiated rubble in the wake of the Columbiads bombardment.
Thinking the planet and its inhabitants destroyed, the Columbiad forces withdrew from orbit – tired of war and anxious to return home. However, within a monstrous, continent-sized crater on the planets surface, a single remaining Carpacian battalion survived – now faced with the rapid erosion of their fragile atmosphere.
