Still inspired by Lovecraft, the point-and-click game mechanism has now been upgraded in Darkness Within 2 to full 3D exploration, while deepening the nightmarish storyline with much longer gameplay. In The Dark Lineage detective Howard Loreid, the main character from Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder, is haunted by his own past. Some memories he’d forgotten about still live on, and some things cannot be forgotten. He cannot hide from himself. Will the Dark Lineage take him in, or will he escape insanity?
