Players take command of the research spaceship SOLARIUS in a race to unlock the cosmic mystery held in the ruins of an ancient culture. Gameplay occurs in 3 stages: movement, attack and execution. In the movement stage players can simultaneously observe their opponents whilst controlling their own unit. Intuitive and strategic warfare is a must if the player is to succeed. During the second phase players select the targets they want to attack, and finally sit back to watch as their enemy is blasted into space.
RIM – Battle Planets is one of the few strategy games that combines turn based and real-time strategy. Players must exercise cunning and skill to outwit the opposition.
Gamers are also offered 3 different levels of difficulty which make RIM – Battle Planets accessible to everyone, meaning that newcomers and the most experienced strategy players can enjoy the intriguing gameplay.
